Breeding Level Up Pups is a combination of science, art, and a whole lot of passion. Choosing to breed only the best of our dogs in terms of health, genetics, and temperament ensures we are constantly improving the dogs we have available. Selection of stud dogs is critical in the decision making process. Every pairing is designed to complement the genetic and temperament characteristics we are looking to continue and improve upon.
A successful breeding is only the first step in the process. Proper health and care of our dogs during pregnancy to avoid stress and risk of disease also helps to create a peaceful and healthy environment for the new pups to develop. The eight weeks after pups are born is when the fun begins and also the hardest work! Providing proper care to mom and puppies through this stage is critical to setting up puppies for success in their new homes. Providing appropriate socializing, handling, and training early on, are at the heart of the program. I look forward to speaking about all we do during this stage of your new puppy’s life.

Years of Expertise & Experience
All of our dogs are tested thoroughly for genetic abnormalities and mutations leading to predispositions for genetic health conditions. We are very cognizant of breeding the right dams and sires together, to ensure they do not pass along any known genetic conditions.

Health Clearances
We test our dams and selected sires for many current health conditions and certify that they are in good health before breeding. Our dogs have health clearances for their hips, elbows, eyes, and heart to make sure that we are producing healthy puppies. These are the health tests recommended prior to breeding Golden Retrievers and Labrador Retrievers.
Lineage
Our dogs have at least 5 generations of documented lineage. With this knowledge, we can diversify the gene pool and choose lines that have been proven to be family-friendly. This also increases the chances of breeding out undesirable genes or traits.
