The Vision
Our journey started by raising puppies for service dog organizations. When we realized that many members of our community were looking for puppies with these amazing temperaments, we set out to make that a reality.
The Foundation
After years of mentoring, researching, and investing, we have now made our dream come true. As a small hobby breeder, we focus on breeding puppies with the same exceptional standards as service dogs, ensuring they grow into outstanding family companions.
We breed pure-bred Golden Retrievers, Golden/Yellow Labrador crosses, and most recently a litter of Onyx (black) Goldens. Check out our past litter page for pictures and stay tuned for future litters.

The Progress
We have had immense joy and success breeding and raising litters. The expanding Level Up family, who have welcomed our puppies into their homes, rave about the experience and their happiness with their new family companions.

I had the absolute best experience with Ann. From the very first conversation, she impressed me with her transparency and professionalism. She took the time to walk me through every detail about health clearances, pedigree, and what to expect when bringing a new pup home. It was clear she genuinely cares about her dogs and the families they go to.
My girl Rory has been nothing short of amazing. Her temperament is truly remarkable—she’s sweet, gentle, and eager to please, yet playful and full of personality. From day one she’s fit right in with our family, bonding instantly with both kids and adults. She’s already showing how intelligent and adaptable she is, and training has been a joy.
I can honestly say Rory is the best family dog I could have hoped for. Ann’s dedication and love for her dogs shine through in every way, and I’m beyond grateful that I found Level Up Retrievers. If you’re looking for a breeder who values integrity, health, and temperament above all, Ann Glascock and Level Up Retrievers are second to none.

Ann’s dogs are so lovely. We really wanted a sound, smart, healthy dog that would be a welcome addition to our family. That’s exactly what we got. In addition we got a fantastic resource and friend. An expert who is close at hand and loves Olaf as much as we do.
We’ve especially appreciated boarding him with Ann. Her welcoming home and expertise means he gets training and socialization along with a caring and safe environment.
We could not be more thrilled with our choice to go with Level Up Retrievers and cannot recommend Ann’s dogs enough to anyone looking to add a retriever to their home.

Our family previously had to return two puppies from other breeders that, despite our best efforts, became safety risks to our family. This was a heartbreaking experience for us, until we were fortunate enough to meet Ann of Level Up Retrievers–truly the light at the end of our dog owning tunnel. Given that we worked with two other breeders in an 18 month period before bringing home our Level Up pup, we feel uniquely qualified to recommend Level Up Retrievers. EVERYTHING about the process and experience was different than the other breeders we had worked with. Ann is the epitome of an ethical and responsible breeder. She and her team have carefully crafted a process to make sure the dogs have amazing temperaments, get the best starts, and as an owner, you feel supported before, during, and even after you go home with your pup. This isn’t just a “put down a deposit, get a picture, pick a dog, hope it works out” type of experience. It’s a well-rounded, well-thought out, frankly, magical experience designed to integrate your new furry family member into your home in a way that ensures success for both you and your puppy. Level Up surpassed our highest expectations and the expectations we didn’t even know we should have for our dog breeder.
We live locally so were able to meet the parent dogs, visit the pregnant mom, and visit with the entire litter 4 days after they were born and throughout their first 8 weeks of life. While the matching process initially gave me pause, now having been through it, I can honestly say I am a believer–the pup we were given was meant to be ours. All of the dogs in the litter were amazing, and Ann is masterful at getting to know the slight nuances in the puppies’ personalities and each family’s needs in order to make the perfect placements. We may have selected a different puppy based on some arbitrary physical characteristic (as we did with the two other breeders), but we are so happy we trusted in the process, as we now endlessly talk about how our dog is the best and most fitting dog for us! I know the families in our litter feel the same.
Ann also held a series of zoom classes to help us get set up and gave advice about the first few nights, products she likes, crate training, potty training, nipping, etc. AND when we took our dog home, he had already learned some proper behavior under her care. He learned to curb some of his mouthiness (I was covered in cuts and bruises from the other dogs’ puppy stage, but this time around, I had none!) and he left the breeder with an auto-sit (and used it all the time to get what he wanted instead of jumping up).
We are so in love with our dog and are so grateful we found Level Up Retrievers! For us, the third time was really a charm, but do yourself a favor and pick Level Up Retrievers the first time around! You will be glad you did!

Ann is the real deal. If you are lucky enough to have found her, don’t look any further!
She has a rare combination of really understanding what matters, both with dogs, and with humans. We were new dog parents, and with Ann’s guidance, both before and after we got our puppy, Diver, was invaluable to his becoming not only an amazing service dog, but a dearly beloved part of our family, and community. Ann really cares about a good connection between families and dogs and has a special knack for matchmaking. The fit could not be any better, and Ann tended it from the beginning. I can’t say enough about Ann and the dogs that she brings into the world.

Oakley is a truly exceptional dog. With her loving, gentle temperament and intuitive sense of companionship, she effortlessly blends into the rhythm of our daily life—whether she’s happily running around our 24-acre ranch while we tackle chores or quietly curling up beside our son at bedtime. Her affectionate and enthusiastic personality has earned her the nickname “The Mayor of Happiness.” Oakley has a gift for getting along with other animals. She engages with other dogs in a way that’s perfectly attuned to their energy, whether they’re shy or exuberant. She’s also calm and respectful around our cats and horses. Her easygoing nature and demeanor make her an irreplaceable part of our family
